Google Latitude – Lost Location

In the blog “Google Latitude – Cannot accept a friend request” I explained how I how to get add friend requests working. After working for months, suddenly I lost my contacts.

I called out to twitter for help, and get the following reply…

@nobilem @colinrobbins Enabling sharing location on google.com/latitude made it come back.Not sure why I had to do that.

Magic, all contacts restored. I am sure this setting was set before – not sure what went wrong to unset it, but this fixed it.

is this fix only for android phones? what about for iphones. I uninstalled/installed google maps, went to sharing location settings on my iphone and i am still not seeing my friends on latitude. 😦
